You may know her name. You may have heard the whispers.
But behind every headline, every silence, there’s a story no one dared to tell—until now.
Survivor at Law is a haunting, unflinching memoir about trauma, power, and the quiet rebellion of reclaiming your voice. Blending lived experience with sharp insight and dark humor, Dovie King reveals how coercive control thrives behind closed doors—and how the law can sometimes be its cruelest accomplice.
A proud Latina, lawyer, and educator, Dovie spent years fighting for others while privately enduring a relationship that would unravel everything she believed about justice. Her legal battle after divorce didn’t just test her—it transformed her.
This isn’t a story of blame. It’s a story of survival. Of rising—grief-stricken, wiser, louder.
For those who’ve been watching, wondering, or whispering—this is the version she’s ready to share.
