Survivor at Law is a haunting, unflinching memoir about trauma, power, and the quiet rebellion of reclaiming your voice.

Blending lived experience with sharp insight and dark humor, attorney Dovie King reveals how coercive control thrives behind closed doors, and how the law can sometimes be its cruelest accomplice.

A proud Latina, mother, and award-winning pro bono lawyer, she spent years fighting for others while privately enduring a toxic relationship that would unravel everything she believed about justice.

Her legal battle after divorce didn’t just test her—it transformed her: grief-stricken, wiser, and louder.
